Krazy 4- Hrithik in an item number for the first time!!!!

Hi there is yet another interesting news in Bollywood.Yes after Krrish Rakesh Roshan is now going to produce Krazy 4.The interesting fact about this picture is that Hrithik Roshan is not going to act in the movie but is going to do an ITEM NUMBER!!!Yes the four Krazy actors of this movie are going to be Juhi Chawla,Arshad Warsi,Irrfan Khan and Rajpal Yadav. The movie also features the great comedian Suresh Menon.

Earlier Rakesh Roshan was very angry with Rajpal Yadav as he had refused to be side guy to Hrithik. But now he is doing this Krazy 4.

One more interesting fact about this film is that this is the first film that Rakesh Roshan will not be directing.Yes this film will be directed by Rakesh Roshan's long time associate and friend Raja Sen.

The film is basically a comedy act revolving around these four actors. It is also said that the role of Juhi Chawla was first offered to Kangana Ranaut but she refused siting date problems.

With such a superb starcast and good production team will the film be SuperHit only time will tell!!!!

Movie Preview - Jodhaa Akbar

JODHAA-AKBAR is the sixteenth century epic that tells the story of Mughal Emperor Akbar The Great, played by Hrithik Roshan, and his Hindu wife, Jodhabai, played by Aishwarya Rai. Directed and produced by Ashutosh Gowarikar, who previously directed the Oscar-nominated LAGAAN; JODHAA-AKBAR promises to be one of the most lavish films ever created on celluloid. It writes the poetry of a marriage of alliances that inadvertently gives rise to true love between a great Mughal ruler and his Rajput wife. For Emperor Akbar, political prowess had no limits. After conquering the Hindu Kush, he further imposed authority that stretched from present-day Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godavari River. But one of his smartest moves was gaining the support and loyalty of the Rajputs, one of India’s most confrontational groups. In attempt to fortify his relations with the Rajputs, Akbar decides to marry the defiant Rajput princess Jodhabai, who at the time was but a mere pawn in the political mindset of Akbar. However, it was this very bond that soon lit the flame of a candle made not of wax, but of true love. Akbar’s greatest obstacle now was not simply to win battles, but to woo Jodhaa and gain her love – a possession buried beneath the rubbles of hate and chauvinism

Kjo's Suitcase

Karan Johar is all set to float his own fashion label.

As a plump tyke, Karan Johar would often talk about his designer dreams. The filmmaker, however, eventually joined his father late Yash Johar's production house and took up filmmaking. Since then, he has been churning out box-office hits, but it's a lesser-known fact that he gives equal attention to the screenplay and the costumes. He has been designing clothes for good friend Shah Rukh Khan for the last few years, and now he is ready to float his independent fashion label. A men's and women's couture collection may be underway, our sources inform us. Ask him about it and Karan says, "I'm interested in launching a fashion label. But I'm waiting for the right opportunity." Refusing to divulge too many details, the best- dressed-filmmaker in the circuit says, "I shop for clothes the way people go mad eating out. Fashion is something that comes to naturally me. I used to choreograph fashion shows in college as well. Both men and women's fashion interests me."

In the past, Karan has collaborated with Naresh (of Masculine) while designing Shah Rukh's costumes. KJo's last assignment was Om Shanti Om (directed by Farah Khan) where Shah Rukh plays a junior artist from the '70s. The actor has two distinct looks: a retro look and a modern day look. He sports lots of retro shirts with optic prints and chunky belts.

Karan says, "My assistant designer Shiraz sourced the fabric used, from across the city, for the film. I was more of a star designer who made the final selection and decided on the cuts. Honestly, it's Farah's vision and we have just executed it."

Farah Khan says, "Karan has done Shah Rukh's clothes for my first film, Main Hoon Na, too. He has always been the first choice because he is a close friend and works for free. He has done a fabulous job. I remember I had dumped a huge catalogue featuring clothes from the '70s on him."

• Karan has always been my first choice because he is a close friend and works for free. He has done a fabulous job– Farah Khan.

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom - Movie Preview

Busy London station. Delayed train from Birmingham. Two strangers waiting for the train... Rikki Thukral (Abhishek Bachchan) born in Bhatinda, living in London; and Alvira Khan (Preity Zinta) more Brit than the Queen herself, however with Lahori blood in her veins. Crowded café. One table to share. Two hours to kill. Perfect setting for the start of a love-story. Hitch? Both Rikki and Alvira are engaged and have come to pick up their fiancés who are coming by the same train. To kill time, they end up telling each other their “how I met my fiancé” stories. Rikki met his fiancé Anaida (Lara Dutta) at The Ritz (Paris), the same night that Princess Diana and Dodi walked out of the hotel and into the paparazzi. As Rikki says, “When two lovers die, another two are a born”. They dance... they sing... they're in love! Alvira, a princess by nature discovers her prince at Madame Tussaud's. When a gigantic wax model of Superman falls from the ceiling, Alvira is a sitting target. But Steve the Prince (Bobby Deol), a lawyer by profession saves her life but steals her heart! They also sing, they also dance and they also fall in love... Stories unfold, time passes, the two strangers start enjoying each other. That Alvira is a Pakistani Brit and Rikki originally from India... that Rikki is crooked, earthy, and rakish: dabbler in various businesses; that Alvira is prim-n-proper, wannabe blue-blood, stiff upper-lip: Asst. Manager at House of Fraser's... none of these details matter. They have gotten alarmingly attracted to each other! Their brief encounter has created a complicated quadrangle... Rikki Thukral and Alvira Khan have gotten themselves and Steve and Anaida into a lovely mess... To get out of it both of them bend over backward, thinking quickly on their feet, dancing around each other's emotions... After all when you're playing musical chairs with love, there's nothing you can do but Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (Dance Baby Dance)!

Character Briefs

RIKKI THUKRAL (Abhishek Bachchan)

Baadshah of Bhatinda, now Sultan of Southall... Rikki Thukral! Confront him and he pulls out his most lethal weapon... "I got class"... Can't mess with Rikki after that. Classy he is, in his own earthy way... Just watch him engineer a deal... selling pirated films, illegal antiques, rented property, second hand fridges... if need be even the Queen's crown... Rikki makes it look like a cakewalk with his canny cheekiness and charm. Rikki came to Southall with a dream... of acquiring windfall riches. He would do all it takes... The moment he met Huffy Bhai it was like love at first sight. It didn't matter that Huffy Bhai was from Karachi or that he would lift his kurta at the most inappropriate moment... they got on like a house on fire. Him and Huffy live life with the attitude and spunk that shouts out, "We're here now... and now that we're here, Southall is ours!" They stay themselves everywhere... and wherever they go, they set up an independent republic! Together, both of them can arrange anything under the sun... from the best seats at the Cricket World Cup to a fridge at the cheapest price... after all, it's not fashionable for a modern day entrepreneur to have all fingers in one pie. They haven't got a permanent mailing address... and even if they did, nothing would ever get sent there... Always on the move, Rikki's clients' needs are such that he can't contain his business in an office... so the whole of Southall is his oyster. Rikki doesn't consider himself a crook, but rather a maverick who just makes the calls... talks the talk... brings people together... walks the walk... makes his commission and stays happy.Like everything in Rikki's life, even falling in love was 70mm cinemascope. Only Rikki could have fallen in love with his dream girl Anaida when the legendary love-birds Princess Diana and Dodi were leaving The Ritz for the last time.... And then like sparkling magic, as Rikki says, "when two lovers die, another two are born"... they dance... they sing... they're in love!

ALVIRA KHAN (Preity Zinta)

Picture a three foot six inch girl. She stands alone in the middle of a church. Merely six years old, Alvira Khan takes an oath before God. "I'll never marry a brownie kaalakalutaa. Please find me a good-looking gora boy like yourself. Amen." Cut to 20 odd years later. Alvira is your typical Pakistani Brit. She would hate to acknowledge the Pakistani part... She's more Brit than the Queen herself. Despite living in a ghettoized Lahori household, Alvira has that stiff upper lip attitude towards the riffraff...especially those crass Southalliyas with their lack of polish and their over-friendliness. That job she has as Manager at the House of Fraser's is a godsend. She can hobnob with the hip Bond Streeters any time she likes... Yea, that's what she calls 'class'... She has a princess personality and a virtually rebellious opinion of everything. And on a fated day at Madame Tussaud's, the princess is daringly rescued by her knight in shining armour... her prince Steve, who grabs her from under a falling Superman model... And she's swept off her feet, heels over head in love... Her dream come true!

STEVE SINGH (Bobby Deol)

Steve Singh is the immensely rich and treacherously handsome joint partner of London's reputed Singh & Smith Law firm. Steve is the man's man... the man about town... powerful, intense and very self-effacing... Born to a British Mum and Punjabi Dad, he's a balance of Punjabi impulse - not thinking twice before heroically saving Alvira's life - and he's got suave ritzy genteel from his Brit Mum. Classy. Seemly. Chivalrous. That's Steve. He has a palace for an office matched only by Mandrake's Xanadu. And wears those dashing suits and up-market cuts like Bruce Wayne. What's more... one meeting and he seemed to know everything about Alvira her religious rituals, where she worked, her pet name... Is he Clark Kent or Superman? He even seems to appear and disappear at will... Yes... That's Steve. He has those natty rugged looks... a scar on his cheek that he got while rescuing a girl who was being forced to dance... But even that Steve doesn't wear on his sleeve. He's Alvira's knight in shining armour... her millionaire lover... her hero...

ANAIDA RAZA (Lara Dutta)

Anaida Raza is the sizzling nymph with a soft core. Brought up in the City of Love as a pragmatic, rooted and razor-sharp woman... Assistant Manager at The Ritz Hotel in Paris... she runs her beat with metronomic efficiency and keeps everybody including her staff happy. She's dealt with all types and can be as friendly as she can be foxy. She'll manage a huge hotel and make it look like a breeze... despite thousands of photographers jumping all over the place... but also find the time to pick up Rikki's handkerchief from the floor and return it to him... How was she to know the hanky would turn out bait... and she'd be hooked, in love with Rikki in the flicker of a moment. Like so many around the world... she gave her heart to Princess Diana. So much so, that despite her otherwise no-nonsense exterior, she cried when she couldn't visit Diana's funeral. She has that alluring combination of passion and charisma that would make any guy go ga-ga...And Rikki is no exception.© www.yashrajfilms.com

Interview with Preity Zinta

What do you think about the music of JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM ?
The music of JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM is outstanding. After a long time I have done a film where in the entire album every song is my favourite. There isn’t one song that I can’t say is my favourite right from the title track to any track all are very well done.

What do you think about Shankar Ehsaan Loy ?
Shankar Ehsaan Loy are my lucky music directors. They did the music for DIL CHAHTA HAI, KANK, KAL HO NA HO and these are all films of mine in which the music has been outstanding and its really done well. Its gone down well with the audiences and I think they have upped their quotient with JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM because they are so good in this movie and the variety they have is so outstanding and I think that’s why they are three of them because each one contributes so much to the film and that gives us a whole picture.

Tell us something about your character in the film
I play Alvira Khan who’s from Lahore even though she’s from Lahore she refuses to accept the fact that she is a Pakistani living in London. She’s actually British and she is more British then the queen herself and that’s the fun part. There’s a lot of layering to her she’s actually a very endearing sweet girl but she’s not this typical heroine with the salt on her nose but she has this attitude and has this image about herself and she is so into that image about herself that everything else dilutes the equation. She’s a lot of fun and she’s quite mad. I think its one of my most mad and totally energetic and crazy characters that I have played till now.

What was it about the script that made you decide to do this film?
I think the madness in the script. It's the only film when the script was narrated to me I didn't have any point to pick and say that there is a problem in this. It's very fast, it moves well, it's really funny and it's got great humour, it's got great back-story. Each character has a layer and more then anything else when you watch it and come outside you have this whole feeling like phew!! And that's it!

What was it like working with Shaad Ali Sehgal
Shaad and me started our careers together. He assisted Mani Ratnam in DIL SE and I did DIL SE as my first film to be released. That time he was an assistant director and I was working in that film. I think 9 years down the line we come full circle, now he's directing this film and I am in it. I absolutely love Shaad and he's one director very unassuming even if you joke about him and say he's the only communist on the set. He also has this madness in him, which translates into his cinema. You will see a mad streak in me, in Abhishekh, in Lara and also in Bobby and that's purely because Shaad has directed this film. If there were any other director you wouldn't have seen that madness streak. I think he's really relaxed and he's like a sweet teddy bear with his psycho hair out.

Can you tell us something about your look in this film
It's the first time I am working with Aki Narula and it's been a great pleasure working with him. He's very talented he's this little guy but with a lot of talent and he is always open to ideas to do something new since there is a lot of layering in my character and she is a very hoity toity character so we have a lot of changes and I must say he exceeded my expectations. When Aditya Chopra and Shaad told me that they were going to get Aki I was a little nervous because I had not worked with him before but I think he has done a fantastic job.

Any outfit in the film, which you would like to wear even otherwise.
All the outfits in the film are very wearable. They are not any filmi outfits that you can only wear it to work and you can't wear it anywhere else. Actually I have two outfits in the film which Aki bought for the movie and I also bought it for myself and we didn't know that and then we ended up having the same outfit so I had this one dress which is a puffed up ball dress which I wear and the other one is this navy blue tight fitted little dress with a red bow on it so I have two of them.

What was it like working in a multi starrer film?
I started my career with Bobby he was my first co-star so this film has been quite an emotional journey in a sweet way because I worked with both Shaad and Bobby 9 year's ago. Abhishek is psychotic he's crazy and I love working with him. Lara again I have never worked with her but she's a very sweet girl very hard working and we got along very well all of us. I think when you see the film you realize how well all of us got along because there is positivity in the film and there is a Jhoom equation which is happening so I hope everybody had the same experience I had working in a multi starrer. And about Mr. Bachchan what can you say about him, he is like God and I just love him.

Are you comfortable doing glamorous roles like these.
As an actor I would want variety in my career, in my life and off course variety is the spice. In KANK I play a much more serious and much more sober and a little bit more groomed and little more older character. In JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM it's more fun it's younger and ofcourse it's glamorous. Thanks to Shaad and Adi and thanks to Aki Narula who makes such great costumes. But as long as your role demands it then it is what it is but then if your role doesn't demand all this glamour and then to get all dolled up it's a little off your rockers.

Any memorable incident during the shoot of the film.
We were shooting this dance sequence and it was the first day of the shoot and everyone was really excited and we were like yes we are going to go for it and I was dancing and suddenly I felt this piercing pain in my foot and I looked down Lara who is 5 ft 8inches tall and she was wearing a 5 inches heel dug into my foot and made like a hole in my foot and I went like ahhhhhhhh. And then just when I was recovering from it and I got rid of the stitches and I was getting ready to go on set again, then Bobby put his 'Punjab da haath' and whacked my face so I remember falling off and seeing the plane, train and the submarine together. I think leaving all this aside what ever happened we had such a blast. I think this is the first time in my career after we shot a song we were just tired and we wanted to go home and the director Shaad just put the track again and besides the actors everyone else started dancing and they danced and danced and danced and I was looking at them.

Is true love real or fantasy according to you?
Love is always real and true love is even more real. I think love is romantic.

On working with Vaibhavi as a choreographer.
I think Vaibhavi has done an amazing job. I haven't danced so much. After very long time I am dancing so much. It's a bit conceited for us to say we did this and that, I think it's for the people to say I saw the bits of one song and it's really well choreographed and it's very in sync with the film and Vaibhavi is exceptionally talented and she's very chilled out.

Sivaji versus Jhoom Barabar Jhoom???

All through the week, the media went berserk reporting about how there was a clash between two titans - Amitabh Bachchan in JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM and Rajnikanth in the Tamil film, SIVAJI - THE BOSS. Whether it was the newspapers or satellite channels, the story was everywhere. But is it really a clash? No! Firstly, the main market for Tamil films is Tamil Nadu, where Hindi films have a limited release. And Tamil films are released with a few prints in circuits other than Tamil Nadu. Agreed, SIVAJI - THE BOSS is a very prestigious (and expensive) film for Rajnikanth and is, therefore, being simultaneously released in Bombay (in fifteen cinemas), but how do 15 prints of SIVAJI in Bombay city and suburbs (including Thane) compare with 75 prints of JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM? Secondly, Amitabh plays a special appearance in JHOOM BARABAR JHOOM (he is seen in just one song), whereas Rajni is the central character in SIVAJI.
